| About MicroField
MicroField works at the frontier of microelectronics and semiconductor technology, bringing together specialists in process development, device assembly, and system integration. Our interests span the evolving landscape of micro-transfer printing, the practical challenges of smart-system integration, and the development of robust chip design and testing methodologies. The aim is always the same: to move promising ideas out of the laboratory and into dependable, manufacturable processes. We believe progress in this field depends on connecting disciplines that are too often kept apart, which is why we treat design, fabrication, and end-use requirements as a single problem. Particular attention goes to miniaturisation, advanced packaging, and heterogeneous integration, where small improvements in yield and reliability translate into real gains at scale. We share regular technical updates so that engineers, researchers, and collaborators can follow our work across the full microelectronics value chain. |
MicroField Technical Update: Reviewing the Roadmap and Setting Priorities

by Super User
In this technical update we review the current state of MicroField's roadmap and set out our priorities for the period ahead. Our teams came together to take stock of recent advances, to be honest about the challenges we have met, and to plan the next stage of the work. The time was well spent: objectives were sharpened, potential obstacles were identified early, and a careful read of the overall roadmap revealed the dependencies that most affect our pace. We also worked through a range of practical matters, leaving us with a clear, shared set of priorities and action points for the coming months. Looking outward, members of the MicroField team will take part in a dedicated session at a forthcoming industry conference, where we intend to present the technical achievements reached so far. We will cover our ongoing progress in more detail in an upcoming newsletter, and we encourage you to follow our website and social channels for further updates.
